The Super Bowl Comes to NTX

Super Bowl XLV: It's More than A Game

Today is the day!  The Super Bowl XLV committee has been planning this day for four years and it's finally arrived.  The weather has been the big story in NTX and its affected everyone from little ol' me to John Madden sitting on the freeway for three hours.  But today is sunny and there's barely a cloud in the sky.  The ice is melting and I haven't seen the rain clouds that have been promised for game time.

A Super Bowl Baby

Green Bay DE Jarius Wynn is already having a super day.  His wife gave birth to a son this morning in a Dallas-area hospital.  Rumor is that he's considering "Super" has the middle name.

story of Super Bowl week.

First of all, let's talk celebrities.  It took the Super Bowl being in my city to realize that the game is not really the most important event of Super Bowl week.  The main events are the parties attended by actors, musicians, TV stars, and athletes.  The partying began last week and some of the celebrities and media have already left.  I have had the great fun of following local media assigned to attend such parties and post pictures on Facebook and Twitter.

The most frustrating part of this week's weather is that all of my celebrity stalking plans were literally rained and snowed out.  I planned on going to ESPN's temporary HQ in Fort Worth to watch live broadcasts and attending the NFL Experience but I couldn't do any of it.  I was stuck in my house because of the ice.  Since I don't have any personally obtained scoops, I'll share what I learned from Twitter and local media.  Enjoy!
